Man lost finger in accident
Rick Levin obtained a verdict on behalf of a client who lost his finger as the result of a defective product he was using while at work. The verdict awarded was the highest in Illinois for a product liability claim resulting in the loss of a finger.

Result:
$164,000 jury verdict

Product liability law deals with accidents that are caused by defective or unsafe products where the manufacturer has often breached its duty of care. It also deals with breach of implied or express warranty and circumstances where a manufacturer fails to properly warn users of any dangerous characteristics a product may have. Accidents rooted in product liability are common causes of property damage, personal injury, permanent disability and wrongful death.

Product manufacturers and suppliers owe a duty to make and sell products that are reasonably fit for their intended uses, and to warn users of any dangerous characteristics a product may have. Additionally, products must perform as they are expressly or impliedly warranted to.

At Levin Riback Law Group, we have a thorough understanding of this area of the law. We diligently investigate these unfortunate accidents and work with our clients to make sure that they understand their rights and receive proper and just compensation for their losses and injuries.
