Yogi Levin, Esq., isn’t just another good boy—he’s the top Pawyer in the field of Dog Walking Law, fiercely advocating for every pup’s right to safe, sniff-filled strolls. Whether you’ve been dragged by a distracted walker, denied your full 90 minutes of daily walking, or had your leash tangled in negligence, Yogi’s your go-to legal hound.
Graduating with honors from DePaw University Paw School, Yogi quickly earned recognition for his groundbreaking case Fetcherson v. The Rain Delay, which affirms that light to moderate storms do not constitute legal grounds to cancel a scheduled walk. In that case, the owner tried to claim that rain without lightning was a valid reason to cancel a walk, run, ball retrieval or swim. Yogi, was retained by class of Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and Irish Setters from across the country to prosecute this matter against defendant canine owners who, in the dogs’ words, are “lazy dog walkers”. Yogi argued, and the court agreed, that if there was no lightning symbol on the weather app that a walk should not be canceled. The Defendants claimed that the need for rain gear and umbrellas was a huge cost burden on them and that they could develop a little cold if they were in the rain. Yogi vociferously barked and barked at the Judge about the cat like behavior of the dog owners and the court agreed. The court ruled that no walks, swims, runs or ball retrievals were to be canceled without a lightning sign on the weather app. The court further ruled that failure to walk etc. in this situation will result in a fine of a filet mignon for dinner. As a result of this win in 2023, Yogi was named “Lawbrador of the Year” by the Paw and the Law Journal of America.
Off-duty, Yogi enjoys, extra-long, never ending, walks on the beach, trail research (hiking), and fetch.
